A man set his girlfriend on fire and also tried to douse her 12-year-old daughter after the girl accused him of inappropriately touching her, police said.
The girl managed to escape the flames Sunday morning and rescue her 3-month-old sister, police said. Neither girl was injured, but their 35-year-old mother was hospitalized in critical condition with burns on up to 40 percent of her body.
In the video you can hear the burning victim scream as a neighbor calls 911.
Prior to the incident, the 12-year old disclosed to her mother that Stewart had fondled her.
Stewart told police, “I never touched that girl. She just lying to cause more problems. All night long [Lee said] you ain't never gonna see your baby, you'll never see her again cause you ain't gonna hurt her.”
Lee and Stewart have a three month old child together who was also in the home at the time. She was not harmed.
Stewart has been charged with arson, risk of injury to a minor, assault and reckless endangerment. He is being held on a $2 million bond.
