The new year kicked off with lots of marriage proposals, and Aretha Franklin is one included on the list. According to the Associated Press, the R.E.S.P.E.C.T soul singer announced her engagement to her longtime friend William “Willie” Wilkerson. Franklin says she'd like a summer wedding and is considering Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karan to design her dress.
