Lemonade Day Encourages Youth To Be Entrepreneurs
Who doesn’t get excited about making money? During these times when youth are struggling with peer pressures to go the wrong route in life, and all the mind blowing throws about racism, what better way to keep them off the streets, and motivated with life than by encouraging them to stay focused on a positive future, and give them a real opportunity to be their own boss? Lemonade Day, a community-wide educational program that helps achieve that. The program is aimed at teaching youth of all ages the skills necessary to start, own and operate their own business with a lemonade stand. Working with mentors (of your choice) and workbook activities, kids learn to set a goal, make a plan, and work their plan to achieve their dream.
HOW IT WORKS:
Each city that participates in Lemonade Day decides on a day to set up shop. The Lemonade Day team provides all the materials, including permits for the set-up location. The best part kids keep all the money they earn from selling lemonade.
