Lady Gaga disposed of the raw meat dress she wore for the 2010 VMA’s, and picked out a cape made of hair, for a surprise appearance at The Oak Room inside the Plaza Hotel in New York on Sept. 30. And while it’s not stated anywhere who made the dress, it’s just my guess it was designed by one of her favorite French hairstylists, Charlie Le Mindu.
Charlie Le Mindu is known for his wild and crazy hair designs. He created his first wig collection in 2009, and from his obsession with all things “hair,” Mindu managed to take his talents to new heights by designing wearable hair pieces and presenting his work on the catwalks. He has attracted the attention of several celebrities, including Lady Gaga, who has been seen in several shows and videos wearing his designs.
For Spring/Summer 2011 London Fashion Week, Mindu shocked the audience when he sent several of his models down the runway butt naked. You can see some of the show in the following video, and just know that with the models being a size ummmm 0? it seems different, but really not that big of a deal that they didn’t have on any clothes.
