Short and medium style cuts are what we’re use to seeing recording artist Fantasia sporting, but this weekend she decided to flip the script. She performed during the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell at The Fair Grounds Race Course on April 30 in New Orleans, rocking a long, two-toned black and blonde weave that blended with the animal print romper she wore by Cache.

From the expressions on her face, it’s hard to tell if Fanny is happy with her new look.
Updated: As it shows in the following video, the expressions on Fantasia’s face were caused by her disappointment in the crowd being so far away from the stage. Fantasia stopped the show in the middle of performing and refused to finish until the fans moved closer. Fantasia then stepped down from the stage, and into the crowd, ready to get the party started.
“We didn’t come here just to be looking,” she said. “We came to party. So ladies, if your shoes hurt, take ‘em off. Don’t worry about your hair. You can get your hair done tomorrow.”
