Celebrity Hair: Tapered, Two-Toned, Flipped and Extra Long Wigs

October 5, 2015

If a whole lot of long hair is your thing, this tapered, two-toned flip wig and weave style is sure to compliment you.

Tamieka “Tiny” Cottle attended the 8th Annual Hoodie Awards hosted by Steve Harvey in Las Vegas on Aug. 29. She opted to quote: “give her husband what he wanted” by adding a few pink pieces to her blond wefts. The style is all in the cut, so an extra large barrel curling iron is the only other accessory needed to create this look.

Rapper Trina is also a fan. She’s shown below at a previous appearance on The Mo’Nique Show.

Then of course there’s the wig queen herself, Wendy Williams who is notorious for wearing some of the hottest styles. As much as I’m not a fan of Wendy, this look fits her well.

Wendy wears wigs often enough that she knows a thing or two about how to keep them maintained properly. She recently offered a bit of advice via The New York Times for wig lovers on a budget who need theirs to last as long as they possibly can.

WIG REPAIR: “You have to have the proper needle. It’s the same needle I use to sew a pair of jeans. You need black thread. It has to be thick. And you need time and you need patience. Through wear and tear and rough brushing and stuff, a track of hair will lift up. I will sew that track back down. Sometimes the wig clips need to be put in tighter.” she said.

On a side note, Wendy’s hairstylist Hadiiya Barbell is awesome!
