Steve and Marjorie Harvey hosted their 9th Annual Ford Hoodie Awards yesterday August 13, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.
Each year the event honors local business owners, religious establishments and community leaders for their contributions to neighborhoods across America. Awards include best church, best high school and teacher, best choir, best community leader, best barbershop and beauty salon, and best soul food.
A host of celebrities turned up for the event, including a long line of presenters including: Antonia Wright, Ed Gordon, Debbie Morgan, Chris Massey, George Wallace, Kevin Hart, Kirk Franklin, Kyle Massey, Shirley Strawberry, Marvin Sapp, RoReaco Lee, Sheryl Underwood, Sommore, Tamara Tunie, Tichina Arnold, Toccara, Tye Tribette, Terrance J, Windelle Middlebrooks, Nephew Tommy, Carla Ferrell, and LaToya Lucket.
Special performances were given by Johnny Gill, Tank, Chaz Shepherd, Anthony David, Faith Evans, and Frankie Beverly and Maze.
