Channeling the theme of Procter & Gamble’s “My Black Is Beautiful,” ESSENCE gathered nine celebs (Ledisi, Tia and Tamara Mowry, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Kelly Rowland, Tichina Arnold, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, Tamala Jones, and Chrisette Michell) to talk about why they love being a Black woman. In t-shirts, jeans and fierce heels, these sisters posed for the camera and shared why they are comfortable in their own skin.
According to Essence, singer Ledisi loved the concept so much, she dedicated an exclusive song to the project, “Real Woman,” that summed up the feeling, inspiration and reality.
