Crime In Beauty: Shoplifting Spree Goes Terribly Wrong

October 5, 2015

Last week I reported that the crime in beauty during the recession has drastically increased — with robberies occurring at gun point in beauty salons and beauty supply stores in just about all states.

Since then — the numbers of senseless crimes within the beauty industry has continued to rise at an almost daily rate.

In this case, an off-duty San Antonio police sergeant fired several rounds at two people at an East Side “black” beauty supply store Sunday after a woman allegedly tried to steal items from the store and in an attempt to get away almost ran the officer over with her vehicle.

It was'nt known at the time if anyone was hit, but when a woman with multiple gunshot wounds was brought in to the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center around 5 p.m., she was linked to the San Antonio case, authorities said.

Seguin Police Sgt. Kado Cato said the woman, whose name was not released, was shot four times and was taken from the Seguin-area hospital by helicopter to Brooke Army Medical Center.
