13-year-old Donell Dixon was allegedly required to performed 100 push-ups as a form of punishment for running in the hall and closing lockers at his school in Detroit, MI. The day after the strenuous exercise, the teen says his arm swelled to double its normal size, so his mother took him to the emergency room.
Medical papers shows Dixon's diagnosis as Rhabdomyolysis, which is a break down of the muscles, often caused by over exertion. It can lead to kidney problems and blood in the urine.[mashshare]
