If plus sized models walking the runway is a cause for health concerns, indeed we do have a problem. The problem is we can’t fix stupid. And according to a new study published by the American Marketing Association’s Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, America is growing dumber by the day. Why?
The study suggests by utilizing non-traditional models with larger body types, the public’s lifestyle and eating behavior is at risk, because plus sized models are linked to rising obesity rates. That’s why.
So what this means is when we see plus size models in print and on the runway, a large number of people suddenly have an urge to gain weight to be within a new standard of beauty. Shrugs… It is what it is. Who cares what I think?!
