Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week was in full effect over the last four days, with some of the hottest designers showcasing their Fall Winter 2012-13 collections. And as my eyes ran through a variety of looks, I couldn’t help but notice a couple of trends that dominated the runway.

Sheer embroidered gowns; some with thigh high splits, sheer embroidered and see-through lace jumpsuits, and lace pants were all heavy hitters. Although some were a little more conservative than others, the most interesting thing is the majority of the designs were either made with a cutout leotard effect, or made to reveal your underwear. Check out a few of the dare-to-wear looks below.

Jean Paul-Gaultier

Maison Martin Margiela, House of Worth, and Julien Fournie

Zuhair Murad

Altier Versace

Are you surprised that Nicki Minaj has already taken likes to this trend?

Wendy Raquel Robinson was also recently spotted at the 2012 BET Awards sporting this look.
