Exercising his rights to take ownership (adverse possession) of an abandoned home for $16, Kenneth Robinson, an African American man from Texas is now being hated on by his Caucasian neighbors who want him to buy the home for its original value of $300k or get out.
Robinson said that the abandoned house is his for the taking, since neither the original owner nor the bank is likely to go to the trouble or expense of kicking him out. If he can manage to stay in the property for three years, he says, the law grants him the right to petition the court for the title of the house. #getintoit
