I recently met a young lady who was puffing on a so-called electronic cigarette? At first glance it looked as if it were the real thing until she got closer and we actually started talking.
I questioned her about the cigarette she was smoking and she relayed that it was her new battery operated alternative to smoking cigarettes. The cigarette comes in a kit that can be re-charged at any time making it a sure way to SAVE MONEY. I wanted to know where she had gotten it from, because it was my first time ever seeing such a thing and she said that her husband had picked it up for her at a kiosk in DC while he was vacationing there. (Darn… that meant it wasn’t available for immediate purchase.) The name of the company: “Smoking Everywhere.”
When questioned about their effectiveness on helping her to stop smoking, she stated that it has helped her to reduce her smoking habit from more than a pack a day – down to 1 or 2 cigarettes a day, and that in her opinion it works better than the patch. She had been puffing away for about a week. Quite naturally I was very impressed.

We have no clue what the health effects could be.” The American Cancer Society blames tobacco smoke on nearly 90 percent of lung cancer deaths. “If it is a choice between smoking tobacco product or a nicotine replacement – of course, keep taking the nicotine,” Schroeder said. “It is a heck of a lot healthier than tobacco smoking.” Taieb agrees. “We aren’t claiming electronic cigarettes help you quit altogether, but I promise our product won’t cause cancer. So no matter what way you look at it, it’s the healthier option,” he says. Thousands of e-cigs are sold in the United States daily, and U.S. sales are expected to double in 2009, according to the manufacturer.
Aside from coming in various flavors (original tobacco, apple, cherry, strawberry, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, mint), the kit also comes in a variety of colors (black, gold, pink) – making it a fashionably fun way to STOP SMOKING. Let’s be real folks, cigarettes cost way to much (a pack a day @ just about $8 with tax increases = $56/wk. x 4 = $226/mo.) and for the most part, they kill!!!
