Thirsty Roots premiered its first commercial representing the love many African Americans have for their hair. The video showcases a variety of choice hairstyles and individual commentary on why they love their thirsty roots, which simply means black hair.
Thirsty Roots wants you to know, “It’s all about YOUR thirsty roots and the uniqueness GOD created for YOU! Learning to love your hair has the positive results of getting the education it takes to make sure it’s healthy and that’s what we want for you. It doesn’t matter how you choose to wear your thirsty roots because that’s your individual choice and we respect that. We will love and support everyone who has black hair with zero tolerance for segregation due to their choice of styling.”
