A 3-year-old Brooklyn girl managed to sneak out of her house shortly after midnight, and wander off to the roof. Police reports state, she was caught on videotape climbing the stairs “to the roof door…. It shows the baby leaving the apartment by herself…, The roof is alarmed. Baby opens the roof door and sets off the alarm.” Then she vanished from view. Apparently this is around the time she fell 4 stories to her death face down into the snow.
All the while, the child's mother was at home thinking her daughter was in the bed sleep.
