R. Kelly is officially back to singing his lungs out after going through throat surgery a few months back. The R&B soul singer joined X-Factor winner Melanie Amaro, an 18-year-old singer from Sunrise, Fla., in a duet of his hit single “I Believe I Can Fly.”
As the winner of X-Factor, Amaro took home a $5 million recording contract. And, although Kelly hit one of his usually notes that could never be touched, Amaro did a remarkable job singing alongside him. Kelly also mentioned this was his first time ever doing a duet of the song, which the LA Reid deemed one of “the most important songs written in the last fifty years.”
