Inspiration: How One Man Lost 100lbs. and Overcame High Blood Pressure

Dennis James had reached 300lbs. and began experiencing health problems; that's when he realized enough was enough.

With the help of Dr. Ian, who currently runs the successful 50 Million Pound Challenge, and the support of his wife, Dennis started to hit the gym and eat the right foods, and proudly dropped 100lbs.

Dennis and his wife purchased Dr. Ian Smith's book “The Fat Smash Diet.” He said he stuck with it until he saw major changes. “I dropped clothes so fast I was going through wardrobes in 6 or 7 months,” he said.

He says Dr. Ian's book taught him to eat small portions and about 4 to 5 meals a day. He also began to eat healthy snacks, such as yogurt, and learned about the importance of exercise. “Going to the gym six days a week was not easy,” he said.

His advice for others: “Don't give up,” he said. “It's not going to be easy, its going to take a lot of discipline, a lot of hard work, but if you keep at it .. and once you see the results you will keep going at it.”
