Petros Williams, 37, is accused of strangling to death his four-year-old daughter, Yolanda, and his two-year-old son, Theo, after his wife, Morongoe, 30, began contacting other men on internet dating websites.
Prosecutors say the defendant purposely chose internet cables from the family computer to kill his children as a “symbolic act of punishment” to his wife.
A jury was told he recorded a haunting video of his two children laughing and waving goodbye to their mother, and left several notes on the computer. Among the notes, one read: “Mo, use the internet as much as you like. Love Petros,” which was suggested may have been a “sarcastic reference” to her online activities.
