UPDATE (July 23, 2012): Just one day after Katherine Jackson was reported missing by her late son Michael Jackson's 14-year-old daughter, Paris Jackson, she was spotted alive and happy playing a game of Uno with her family in Arizona. Her children released a statement this morning saying the missing person’s report was “created by the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from.”
“We feel that there is a conspiracy to deflect the attention away from a letter we wrote asking for the resignation of executors, John Branca and John McClain, as well as some of her ‘advisors’ and ‘caregivers,’” the statement said. “We feel there is strong evidence that supports the falsification of documents in order to takeover and profit from the estate of our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We want answers. The only feud that exists is between the Executors of the Estate and this family. This is being handled by the proper authorities and due process will take place (source).”
Members of the Jackson family have reported their mother, Katherine Jackson, missing for more than a week. However, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department believes she is with family members.
Paris Jackson, the 14-year-old daughter of the late legend, tweeted early Sunday morning that her grandmother was missing: “I haven't spoken with her in a week I want her home now,” she posted from her Twitter account. She also tweeted a number for people to contact in case they saw the 82-year-old matriarch of the famous singing clan.
The sherriff's department said another family member officially reported her missing Saturday night because he couldn't speak with her and was concerned. While the authorities are trying to reach Katherine Jackson, they also say she is with family members.
