It seems like only yesterday that Lauryn Hill announced she was expecting another baby. No-one expected it would be so soon.
On Saturday (July 23), Lauryn Hill and long time boyfriend, Rohan Marley, are said to have welcomed their sixth child; a baby boy, Black Celebrity Kids reports.
“Mother and baby are fine,” claims an unknown source, who adds that Hill and family “had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.”
Ironically Rohan Marley was recently rumored to have dumped a pregnant Lauryn for a Brazilian model named Isabeli Fontana. He quickly expressed disappointment in the rumors, through a series of tweets saying:
“Sometimes I read what people write, its hurts my heart to read some of that negativity. How can someone be so convicted they don't know, reminds me of our religious system.. be resourceful, get to the root of all things.. Its not all that glitters is gold.. half the story has never been told ..”
Rohan later continued:
“Ms. Hill is the mother of my children, whom I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for. I would never do that.. The nature of our relationship is something we don't expect people who spread gossip for a living to fully understand.. Who and where do you get this stuff from? Do you check the validity of your sources? Have any of you considered potentially having to respond to a libel and/or slander lawsuit?”
It seems rather odd, however, that, he makes no mention of the birth of a new child through his series of tweets, which raises a question.

UPDATED 7/26/2011: It gets better, and it's almost safe to say Rohan Marley is NOT Lauryn Hill's new bundle of joy's father. The new mother of now, 6 kids, took to her twitter page today to clear up the air a little regarding the issue.
Mr Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning. To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to numerous reports, Mr Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.
