Maintain Luscious Lips with These Healthy Lip Care Tips

Lips are an essential part of a woman’s beauty. It is important for men to consider lip care as well. The skin of the lips is thinner than the facial skin, so taking gentle care of your lips is extremely important.

Over a period of time, your lips will lose their elasticity and wrinkles can develop. Since our face is more exposed to the weather than the rest of our body (excluding hands), it is also the area that will most likely show the first signs of aging.

LIP CARE TIPS

Choose lip balms that contain vegetable oils such as olive oils. These types of ingredients will help restore the natural oils in your lips. Avoid using lipsticks and lip products of cheap brands.

For Dry Chap Lips

After you brush your teeth every morning, try using your toothbrush to ‘exfoliate’ your lips, it should brush off some dead cells and promote the growth of new ones. Drink lots of water to help hydrate your lips. DO NOT constantly lick your lips.

For Dark Lips

Dark lips may be due to smoking or an unhealthy diet, try to eat more fruits. Another method that can help is to drink more red dates water. Put about 6 dates in a cup and pour hot water on it. Wait about 1/2 hr or 45 minutes before you drink it. It is convenient, easy to prepare and good for your blood circulation. Try it a few times a week.

To achieve natural lip color application, apply a light color creamy foundation or powder to your lips and then apply lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss in your favorite colors for a long lasting look. You can also set your lip color by blotting your lips between two applications of lipstick.

Each night before you go to bed use lip balm and lemon juice on your lips.

Drink plenty of water and remember to wear a lip balm with SPF 15 or higher to protect them.

Keep this up, and make it an everyday habit. After a few days you’ll notice a dramatic difference.
