The Essence Music Festival 2010 in New Orleans was in full effect this weekend, and Mary J. Blige was on deck. She posed along with Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price at the launch of her new “My Life” fragrance.
The My Life fragrance, named in honor of Blige’s 1994 album of the same title, is a sweet mix gardenia, Bartlett pear and white freesia, with a heart of tuberose, blooming jasmine, gold lily and apricot flower. The drydown blends cashmere woods, praline, sesame and incense.
Blige, an investor in Carol’s Daughter, will bring the scent exclusively to the Home Shopping Network (HSN) on July 31st, with six shows featuring the songstress herself presenting the featured product pick of the day. HSN will also show documentary scenes on Blige’s life on the 31st, which the popular home shopping channel is currently filming. Be sure to tune in to the story that only she can tell.

Not only was Blige on deck in New Orleans for the launch of her new fragrance, she was also there supporting the FFAWN foundation.
A portion of the proceeds from Blige’s My Life fragrance will benefit the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN). FFAWN was created by Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute to help women gain the confidence and skills they need to pursue and realize their goals and dreams.
