New Product Alert and Review: TRESemme Split Remedy Hair Care Line

My fine hair texture has been suffering from split ends for quite some time now. It was very discouraging that nothing I seemed to do, and none of my favorite products were helping any. More than likely, that is due to the fact, none of the products I’ve been using are aimed specifically at correcting my problem with split ends.

So, when the opportunity came up for me to be taken out of my comfort zone to test and share my experience with the all new TRESemme Split Remedy hair care line, I was all for it.

The TRESemme Split Remedy hair care line claims to repair split ends up to 80%. The complete system includes a 1) shampoo, 2) conditioner, 3) serum, 4) conditioning spray, and 5) conditioning treatment, with each product serving a necessary purpose. So, although it sounds like a lot to use, it’s suggested to use them all together as directed.

All of the TRESemme Split Remedy products have a fresh and pleasant smell (this is always a plus for me). The shampoo lathers well, therefore, one shampoo is enough to remove excess dirt and oils. The only issue I had with the conditioner is that it didn’t completely detangle my hair. So, you may want to look into investing in an additional detangling shampoo/conditioner to add to the system, particularly if you have thick or course hair.

The TRESemme Split Remedy conditioning spray, conditioning treatment, and serum are all to be used on dry/damp hair after it has been thoroughly cleansed. I’ve only been using the products for two weeks, but I’m certain that this particular combination is what does the trick with healing the split hairs.

While I am fully aware that there is no proven remedy to get rid of split ends completely without cutting off the damaged hair, what I have experienced in such a short time is that, TRESemme does work to keep split ends sealed. Since I have been using the products, they have really managed to help eliminate my hair from frizzing up like it has been. So, for that reason alone I would say it’s worth continued use.

Of course, the one other thing I would suggest besides using the complete line, is to keep your ends trimmed until the problem has been corrected. Also, avoid using excessive heat.

NEW Split Remedy, from TRESemmé, repairs up to 80% of split ends in just three uses. And with continued use, repairs further damage as it occurs.
