More and more designers are using their runway shows to support Barack Obama. First there was Donatella Versace who dedicated her whole Spring/Summer 2009 menswear collection to the new presidential hopeful, and just last week during fashion week, Sonia Rykiel’s spring 2009 collection included sweaters that read “I have a dream” and “Obama.”
We also have Jean-Charles de Castelbajac who put Barack’s grinning face on a sequin dress paired with gloves that read “yes” and “no”. At the end of her program notes, Stella McCartney wrote, “P.S. Vote Obama!!” Gooooo Obama!
