Print newspapers and magazines are folding over by the day because of lost advertising dollars due to hard economic times. Many publishers have slowly been turning to the internet creating blog style publications while struggling to carry on their name and continue to generate revenue. As a result, a lot of these publications have become unoriginal doing nothing more than adding to an already overcrowded and very competitive blogosphere.
In today's news, the cycle of print publications going under continues with Men's magazine Playboy and its associated media conglomerate rumored to be on the brink of being sold, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.
A person with inside knowledge of Playboy's deliberations, ongoing for a year, told the paper there were two parties interested and that the asking price would be approximately 300 million dollars.
