California's multibillion-dollar adult entertainment industry is in a frenzy amid news that another one of its actors have tested positive for HIV.

The revelation Tuesday led to two of the industry's biggest companies shutting down production and a scramble to find partners who may have been exposed by the actor, whose identity and gender have not been released.

The actor was a patient of the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation, a San Fernando Valley clinic that caters to pornographic actors.

“I knew it was going to happen. And how many years has it been? Again. They went right back to the same habits,” Darren James said in an interview with The LA Times.

James, a well-liked porn star known for his courteous nature on set, was at the center of an HIV outbreak that shut down the San Fernando Valley’s porn industry for a month in the spring of 2004. In recent months he's become an advocate of mandatory use of condoms on porn sets to protect performers from HIV.

Two people that immediately come to mind when hearing this story are 1) Brian Pumper, and 2) Montana Fishburne; both of whom have been heavily promoting porn and making their way into the mainstream media.
