Yesterday (May 7), The White House released President Barack Obama's “Presidential Mother's Day Proclamation,” where he paid tribute to all the women who have given so much of themselves to lift up their children and shape America's character. In it, he also encouraged everyone to express their love for their mother's on this special day.

“I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 8, 2011, as Mother’s Day. I urge all Americans to express their love, respect, and gratitude to mothers everywhere, and I call upon all citizens to observe this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.”
The President lived up to his word and treated First Lady Michelle Obama to a tasty Italian dinner at Tosca restaurant in D.C. for Mother's Day. Michelle kept in trendy in wide-leg pants, a floral top, and leather jacket.
