After receiving thousands of viewer complaints about quote: 'lewd' performances by U.S. pop stars Rihanna and Christina Aguilera, and several weeks of debating the issue, Ofcom has officially decided to launch an investigation into the X Factor final. The media regulator and ITV have received almost 4,500 complaints about the quote: ‘disgusting’ routines shown before the 9pm watershed.
The show faces a big fine and ITV could be asked to apologize if it is found to have broken rules, the Daily Mail reports.
