On Sept. 8, 2011, the world will be hopping from store to store, shopping like fashion junkies, for Vogue magazine's annual Fashion's Night Out.

And as a surprise, Vogue editor-in-chief, Eva Hughes, is bringing the event to Mexico for the very first time despite the country's international image of being an unsafe place.
“It’s a chance to show the world that Mexico is able to have a fashion night rivaling the best that other cities in the world can muster,” said Hughes, who added that despite the fact that “there are situations that cannot be controlled” organizers expect “everything to go well and people to come out and enjoy themselves.”
Although many of the activities that the stores will hold have already been publicized on the magazine’s web site and in its September issue, Hughes did not want to reveal additional details about what the Mexican public will be treated to.
