Singer Toni Braxton photo'd below with her mother at the 8th Annual Lupus LA Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon held on Nov. 16 at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills.
The Bag Ladies Luncheon brings together hundreds of women for an afternoon of fun, good food and live entertainment while auctioning handbags in an effort to raise money for a cure for Lupus. Bags are donated by the top boutiques in the city, as well as directly from the collections and closets of several top designers and celebrities.
This year at the event, Toni Braxton went public with her battle with the disease and she was also honored with a “Woman of Achievement” Humanitarianism award. She later took to her twitter page to say:
“Had a great time at the 8th Annual Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon; a big moment for me. It was a tough decision to come out about it. But it was such a relief!”
