Trayvon Martin’s Family Attorney Endorses Bernie Sanders for President

Another prominent African-American woman is feeling the Bern. Civil rights attorny Natalie Jackson who represented the family of Trayvon Martin is endorsing presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. She joins former Ohio state senator Nina Turner in a small but growing number of black women throwing their support behind the senator. They hope to shift African-American support away from former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Jackson told Fusion that Sanders is the only candidate who can break down structural racism and raise African Americans out of poverty.
