The Unwritten Rules Web Series Ep. 4: 'Let's Talk About Hair'
Reality kicks in with a relatively new web series titled, The Unwritten Rules. The comical series follows the life of a young African American female (Racey) around in an all white work environment, where she struggles to fit in.
In this latest episode, Racey's co-workers react when she gets her hair braided. She gets the typical response, such as: Is that your hair? Can I touch it?, etc. They even go as far as to debating where hair braiding originated (that was funny).
Now, there use to be a time when wearing braids in a professional environment was something to be cautious about. But these days, with so many women going natural, it's a wonder if much has changed, or if it's really even a big issue anymore.
