Amber Rose and the shaved head that we're use to seeing her with went M.I.A. for a feature in YRB magazine. She turned up unrecognized wearing a blond wig instead, and appeared to be emulating the late Marilyn Monroe.
One can't help but wonder if it's just a coincidence that Amber's imitation of the late Marilyn Monroe follows her new BFF, Nicki Minaj's imitation of the late iconic, sex symbolic beauty in a recent issue of VIBE magazine.
Hummmm. Did we miss a fashion show where Ms. Monroe was a season trend? Or is it just the undergarment look that merits the need for a colored wig? Or what is it, really?
It's said that Amber has been referenced as trying too hard to stand out, but according to Amber, she’s always stood out.
“I was always a ‘weirdo’ – well that's what people would call me,” Amber confessed to YRB. “I had a mohawk when mohawks weren't cool…. I did my own thing ever since I was a little girl. I still do my own thing! Whatever makes me feel good.” That would include being butt naked and free with no hair and no clothes, she stated.
Amber also doesn't consider herself as a celebrity, and rightfully so.
“I'm just a dope chick from South Philly!” she said.
