Job Opportunities: Federal DEA Seeking Ebonics Translators

October 5, 2015

The U.S. Department of Justice is looking for fluent Ebonics translators to fill nine drug enforcement jobs. The translators would work out of the Atlanta field office according to a Justice Department request posted today by The Smoking Gun, and will assist with wiretapped conversations involving targets of undercover drug investigations.

What it really sounds like is, they're looking to interrogate a few crackheads to help break a few street codes, and quite naturally the request is seen as both an insult and a joke (not to mention racist). Why even bother publicly posting some sh*t like this?
