Everyone may not like June Ambrose as a stylist, but one thing is for certain, she deserves her respect. “Achieving a head-to-toe makeover does not come easily… It's not just about playing dress up; it's about re-discovering oneself,” she explains.
June has been in the business of trendsetting for over 20 years, and has transformed the looks of celebrities, including Sean Combs, Mary J. Blige, Jaleel White, Mariah Carey, and many more. Her hard work has finally paid off, and this Monday (March 19) the Vh1 reality series “Styled by June” will premiere, and everyone will have the opportunity to see June and her team in action. Kelly Rowland, Trina, DaBrat, and more will all make their debut with a brand new look (get a sneak peak below).
Media Beat recently caught up with June to find out where her journey in fashion all began. They talked about what took her so long to start her own show, her big break as an internship with a music label, her influence on Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and his choice of hip hop fashion, and moving forward from there. June also shared some good tips and advice to newcomers into the business (watch the interview below).
