The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, hit the stage at Oakland’s Fox Theater on Friday, November 11th , 2011, and didn’t skip a beat as she performed classic hits from her 1994 ‘My Life’ album.
Donning a white and burgundy cat-suit, topped off with Christian Dior Fall 2011 Guetre and Alligator Thigh-High Boots and sunglasses from her own collection, Mary J stepped out with a live band and three backing vocalists. She had the venue grooving to all her hits, including “Be Happy,” “Mary Jane (All Night Long),” “I’m Going Down,” and “You Bring Me Joy.” Moving with ease across the stage, she greeted her audience with vigor and kept the energy high, dancing throughout the entire show.
If you weren’t able to make it, no worries. On November 17, 2011 at 11PM ET/8PM PT, Mary J. Blige will continue her journey UNSTAGED in a live online concert directed by Adam Shankman. UNSTAGED is an original series from American Express, in partnership with YouTube and VEVO (watch a preview below).[mashshare]
