Spoken word poet, Kamal Imani, combines the mellow sound of neo soul music and rhythmical poetry, with his spoken word piece titled, Ms. Melanin.

Description: Many Black/African American women and girls have been teased or discriminated against because of their dark skin. It can leave emotional and psychological scars. Kamal Imani knows how beautiful these sisters are with their dark skin that contains a high degree of the pigment known as melanin, which actually works well with the sun and many bio spiritual functions as known by the ancient Egyptian/Khemetians. Kamal let's the sisters know that yes, Black is Beautiful.
