Spoken Word poet, Dichotomy, and all the men aboard aboard the Creole Queen during Essence Music Festival's 20th Aniversary on July 6, 2014, had a message for all the ladies who call themselves in a relationship with a single man.
“Love is war, and nobody has been able to play both sides, so I — wonder why — you won't just leave him… It's not like you don't have a good reason. Your mother always told you: 'If a man wants something bad enough, he will do whatever he can to get it.' So, if his actions aren't aligned with those words, I don't know why you won't just say forget it. But see, a woman can hear those exact same words, and process that sh– completely different…. See when you're holding on to something that doesn't want to be held… When the man that comes along that was meant to be, your hands are full and you won't be able to cease him, but believe when I tell you there are other women out there that see's him. So, if you're going to miss out on something that was never meant to be, then holding on to something that never was shouldn't be the reason….”
