Actress Taraji P. Henson and her makeup artist sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to dish on how they met, and how they work together to create Taraji’s looks on the red carpet, on camera, and in her personal life. They make it clear that despite how much the world takes to the Cookie style and fashion, Cookie is not who Taraji is in real life.
“I try to stay as far away from Cookie as possible when I’m on the red carpet,” says Taraji. “I like to be Taraji. I have enough of Cookie.”
Clearly she is speaking of style and makeup when she makes the above statement, because as much as Taraji may try to stay away from her character on the Fox Empire series, she can’t in my opinion. Her real life personality is as close to her bossy character role as Cookie as it can ever be. You can see how she drops it low in the video that she really is a class act.
